University participants of the Presidential Programme meet an investor from Silicon Valley

On 18 September, the Central City Park hosted a meeting between participants of the Presidential Programme and Derek Distenfield, the chief operations officer and co-founder of GSD Venture Studios (USA), a Forbes writer, and an internationally recognised speaker who gives lectures in world leading universities dedicated to the topic of “Growing start-ups”. The event was held within the 7th Eitingon management platform “Open Region”. Derek Distenfield presented his lecture “Digital transformation and flexible teams”. The meeting was moderated by Valentina Buchina, the Head of the Centre for Effective Government of the Voronezh Region, and Galina Menyailo, the Director of the VSU Managers' Training Centre.

The investor from the Silicon Valley told the audience how to build a strategy in a situation of uncertainty, how digital transformation shifted the vector of invested projects, what flexible teams are, what their advantages are, and how to manage teams distantly.

Derek Distenfield is known for his revolutionary ideas contributing to a fast growth and increased efficiency of companies with minimal resources. He shared some of them with the graduates and students of the Presidential Programme.
