Between 1 and 5 March, VSU took part in the Forum of University Rectors from Russia and Thailand organised by the Russian Rectors' Union in cooperation with St Petersburg State University of Finance and Economics and Lomonosov Moscow State University with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Thailand, the Government of Saint Petersburg and the Rectors’ Union of Saint Petersburg. The goal of the forum was to develop humanitarian relations between the two countries, to intensify academic and student exchange programmes between universities, and to enhance research in Russia and Thailand.
The Rector of Voronezh State University, Dmitry Endovitsky, gave a report in the strategic session “Education and Business”. He told his Russian and Thai colleagues about the university’s experience in network cooperation with the business community. The VSU rector also pinpointed the key opportunities for the future cooperation with universities from Thailand. Natalia Ushakova, the Erasmus+ ICM coordinator at VSU, told the audience about academic exchange programmes and the benefits of studying at VSU for international students.
Following the results of the Forum, agreements with leading universities from Thailand are expected to be signed.
