There are currently over 20 volunteer organizations at Voronezh State University. Their activities are mainly aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and blood donorship; helping orphanages and care centres, managing festivals, organizing volunteers in the city and at the university, taking part in eco-events, helping stray animals, and much more.

Volunteer work has always been popular with VSU students. This year a new public group "VSU Volunteer Club" was registered at the largest Russian social network "VKontakte". Now, there are more than 300 participants in this group. Members of the Club often help orphanages; launch donor initiatives, and assist other charities. They also take active part in organising the Platonov Arts Festival – an international festival of great importance for the whole city. This year 150 VSU students volunteered to help in organasing the event and work during the Festival.
