Between 11 and 20 March, Associate Professor from the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, Elena Chaika, took part in the final working meeting between coordinators of the TEMPUS project on "Modernising European Language Teaching through the Introduction of Online Technologies in the Process of Teacher Training" (544161-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-UK-TEMPUS-JPCR Aston University "Developing the Teaching of European Languages: Modernising Language Teaching through the development of blended Masters Programmes"), that took place in Aston (Birmingham, Great Britain). The participants of a consortium of ten universities from Great Britain, Germany, France, Russia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan presented their reports on project results at their universities.

The main coordinator of the Tempus project, Sue Garton (Aston University, Great Britain), stated that the working group from Voronezh State University fully and competently accomplished the tasks which had been assigned to them:

1) the master’s programme “Foreign Language Teaching with Application of Online Technologies” (Pedagogical Education) was opened (39 people are currently involved in the programme).
2) Two groups completed advanced training programme for university and school teachers.
3) VSU's working group developed materials for modules which were highly praised by all members of the consortium. The materials were introduced into the programmes.
4) Text books and teaching aids were purchased to be used in the programme.
5) The facilities of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology were improved.
The Tempus project which was conducted between December 2013 and March 2017 allowed to strengthen the ties between the consortium members which gave way to new ideas and projects. Four master's students took part in an Erasmus+ programme and did a one term exchange programme in the University of Caen (France) and the University of Aston (Great Britain).
5) The facilities of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology were improved.

In May 2017, first year master’s students doing the Pedagogical Education programme will take part in  an exchange programme in Freiburg University of Education (Germany).

The Tempus project “Modernising European Language Teaching through the Introduction of Online Technologies in the Process of Teacher Training” was completed successfully. However, the academic mobility of students and teachers of the master’s programme “Foreign Language Teaching with Application of Online Technologies” has not lost its dynamics and continues to develop thanks to new areas of international cooperation.
