On 9 December, the administration of Voronezh State University held a meeting with representatives of the German company BASF in the White Hall of the main university building.
At the meeting, the Rector of VSU, Dmitry Endovitsky, gave a presentation “Network interaction with the business community”. He told the guests about the infrastructure of educational activities at the university, new corporate education programmes and laboratories, research-intensive projects in cooperation with business partners, scholarship competitions, and other initiatives.
“We have huge experience working with industrial partners. Such interactions help us to have a more specialised approach to training students and provide high profile specialists in various industries,” said Dmitry Endovitsky.
Artyem Vidusov, a BASF representative, gave a presentation under the title “We create chemistry” and told the audience about the company’s activities, its main industrial principles and areas:
“We invest a lot of money into research and are very interested in innovative ideas. We are constantly searching for new technologies and developments. Our mission is to explain to people that the application of chemistry in agriculture can be safe. Ecological safety and social responsibility are of great importance for our company. I think these are the areas of our future interaction with VSU.”
After that, the companies signed a cooperation agreement between Voronezh State University and BASF.
Then, they visited a research laboratory at the Department of Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry and the Centre for Collective Use of Scientific Equipment.
