On 27 June, a delegation of Eskişehir Osmangazi University (Turkey) visited Voronezh State University. The delegation included the staff members of the Department of Computer Engineering, Yusuf Kartal, Savaş Okyay, and Elif Değirmenci, who had a meeting with the dean of the Faculty of Computer Sciences, Alexander Krylovetsky, lecturer at the Department of Information Security and Processing Technologies, Anna Shvyreva, and specialists at the International Relations Office, Natalia Ushkova and Yulia Simakhina.
Alexander Krylovetsky told the guests about the history of the faculty, its achievements and current areas of activity. The Turkish colleagues asked the dean about the main educational and research interests at the faculty and compared its education programmes to the ones in their own university. They also had a tour of the Faculty of Computer Sciences starting with the new computer graphics laboratory.
After that they visited the VSU History Museum where they had a guided tour by the head of the museum Alexandra Stepynina. She told the guests about the history and the current state of the university and the people who contributed greatly to its development. They also visited the exhibition of graphic works by Anatoly Fomenko currently on display at VSU. Besides being a scientist, Anatoly Fomenko creates graphic pictures, which are inspired by Bosch and Dali.
The Turkish colleagues spent another two days having meetings with the representatives of the Faculty of Computer Sciences.
