On 30 March 2024, the Faculty of Pharmaceutics of VSU hosted the ninth contest of innovative projects of students and entrants “Pharmacy of the Future – 2024”. The jury of the contest, consisting of the heads of the Vita, Maksavit, and Zdravservis pharmacy chains, considered seven projects created by teams of first, third, and fourth year students dedicated to new information technologies in the pharmaceutical market, social innovation projects in pharmacy, and innovations in the management and marketing of pharmaceutical organisations.
By the decision of the jury first place was awarded to Sofia Levchenko and Ksenia Gerasimenko, fourth year students, and their project “Pharmacy for everyone”, and Vladislav Kitaev, a first year student, and his project “A drug vending machine”.
Second place was taken by the teams of fourth year (Elizaveta Usacheva, Fedor Khvalynsky, and Anna Polenova) and third year students (Yulia Bokareva, Anastasia Golovina, and Alina Zvyagintseva). The team of fourth year students presented a design for a system for storing, transmitting, and using the medical data of patients. The project by the team of third year students was dedicated to a self-service device allowing optimising work at pharmacies. Tatiana Yesipenko, a third year student, and her project “Phytointelligence” took third place.
The jury also awarded third place to the team of first year students (Anna Shibina and Veronika Kostina) and their project “PharmForum, an application for exchanging experience and knowledge among pharmacists” and Vladislav Kitaev and his project “Virtual laboratories in pharmaceutical education”.
All the participants received prizes from representatives of the pharmacy chains.
