Voronezh State University received the status of an official partner in entrepreneurial competencies trainings as part of the federal project “Platform of University Technological Entrepreneurship”.
In total, this year 202 Russian universities received the status of an official partner of MIPT, an operator of entrepreneurial competencies trainings for the federal project. As a result of the expansion of the partner network of universities, the number of training events will be doubled and attract more than 100 thousand students.
The trainings are conducted with the organisational support of universities in all regions of the country. This year, the number of educational institutions that joined the initiative and decided to conduct educational events for students has doubled, as compared to 2023. The Central Federal District became the leader in the number of partner universities where trainings will be held at more than fifty universities. Siberia holds second place (38 partner universities). The Volga Federal District, the Northwestern Federal District, and the North Caucasian Federal District showed almost the same growth: coaching teams will visit 20 to 35 universities in each of these federal districts.
“This time we have received a record number of applications for trainings from educational institutions. This confirms the growing interest of universities in the development of technological entrepreneurship in the university environment. The expansion of the partner network will allow more students to learn about technological entrepreneurship and take part in the events offered by the federal project,” said Ksenia Volkova, director of the Project office for organising and conducting entrepreneurial competencies trainings.
Entrepreneurial competencies trainings are among the key mechanisms of the federal project aimed at involving students in technological entrepreneurship. In 2022–2023, over 1,000 trainings were conducted that covered all federal districts of Russia, and more than 84,000 students participated in them. Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology is the operator of this initiative.
The federal project “Platform of University Technological Entrepreneurship” (PUTE) is directed at the mass involvement of students in technological entrepreneurship and the serial creation of technological companies at universities. The federal project is being implemented by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation with the participation of the leading development institutions of Russia.
In 2022 and 2023, the federal project covered 78 Russian regions. 85 thousand students took part in entrepreneurial competencies trainings, while 280 thousand students improved their projects and business ideas as part of business accelerators and “Entrepreneurial Boiling Points”. 2 university startup studios were opened. The Student Startup grant programme allowed 2,500 projects to receive 1 million roubles each. For private investors, there is a reimbursement programme for a part of the investment: the state returns up to 50% of the funds invested in a university startup.
