VSU is developing new principles of radio communication

New principles of radio communication, based on the use of ultra-wideband signals, are being actively developed at the Faculty of Physics of VSU.

According to Professor Anatoly Bobreshov, the Dean of the Faculty and the Head of the Department of Electronics, "This is an absolutely new principle, which allows to establish robust and reliable communication between objects. Signals, which are used nowadays, is, in simple terms, a sine wave, which can be modulated in different ways. In contrast with them, the type of ultra-wideband communication, offered by university radiophysicists, is a videopulse, which is extremely difficult to suppress or garble in any other way. This type of communication hasn't been used in our country so far."

At the present time new scientific results, which were obtained by VSU scientists in physics, are being applied in a number of organizations, such as JSC Concern «Sozvezdie», the Research Institution of State Technical Commission, and the Ministry of Defense of Russian Federation, or introduced into them.
