Between 30th October and 2nd November, a delegation from Voronezh State University including the Mathematical Physics department members led by Professor Boris Zon took part in the "Ideas, Inventions, and New Products – 2014" 66th international exhibition (IENA) in Nuremberg, Germany. It is one of the major international specialized exhibitions devoted to new technologies, inventions, and know-how, used in various fields of science, industry, and everyday life.
At IENA 2014 exhibition, a large number of companies from 40 countries presented over 700 inventions and high-tech developments in the key areas of industry and science.
VSU scholars – Alexander Likholet, Vasiliy Naskidashvili, Pavel Lukjanovich, and Vladislav Chernov – presented two of their inventions which were awarded medals and certificates: the second prize for Microwave Surface Technology and the third prize for Light Aid.
Voronezh State University also received a medal from Warsaw Applied Chemistry Institute for "A high level of applied research".
– The Russian Federation scholars presented 16 projects, including 5 projects from indirect participants. It is worth mentioning that, compared to other participating countries, Russia leads in the medals received. It is important that, in the exhibition, VSU got positive reviews from the European business community. The entrepreneurs were interested in the innovative solutions presented by our university. Our creative team are looking forward to further successful work, said Professor Boris Zon.
