A Voronezh State University delegation has taken part in the Fourth Forum of Humanities Universities and Deans of Humanities Faculties. The event was held at the venue of Russian State University for the Humanities on 27th–28th February and was supported by the Rossotrudnichestvo Federal Agency, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of National Education of France, the French Embassy in the Russian Federation, the Russian Rectors' Union, and the Association of French University Presidents.
This representative body is a permanent platform for enhancing and strengthening the dialogue between the two countries' universities on the issues regarding university education and academic mobility, as well as the role of the humanities in present-day innovation processes in Russia and France. A joint report presented by Dmitriy Endovitskyy and Head of the Department of French Philology Elena Alexeeva aimed to take stock of experiences gained from VSU's effective cooperation with French partner universities, whose directors also took part in the Forum. In the Memorandum, the participants of the Forum praised the fruitful exchange of ideas and information that had taken place at the event, expressing their readiness to act jointly in order to expand the scope of cooperation in the spheres of education and research in the Russian and French educational environment. Additionally, it was decided to create a Forum-based programme of the Russian and French Humanities University as a network framework structure of the humanities community, which would promote the development of humanities and related disciplines.
