On 14th March, the International Student Exchange Office of Voronezh State University International Cooperation Department held another event within the project The System of Curators for VSU Foreign Students – a cooking workshop. The event was aimed at enhancing intercultural exchange between Russian and foreign students.

Students and interns from Germany, Estonia, Morocco, Great Britain, Russia, Columbia and Uzbekistan visited the international workshop on Russian national cuisine. The guests gathered together to learn how to cook pelmeni. Three international teams used creative approaches: the pelmeni suited to every fancy – there were vegetarian, rawtarian pelmeni and pelmeni with Indian spices. When it comes to food there are no boundaries and the friendly atmosphere of the workshop proved it.

On 14th March, another event –the launch of the project City caravan – was held in the framework of the programme The System of Curators for VSU Foreign students. It is an experimental project that allows foreign students to visit places that are usually closed to the public (factories, bakeries, wardrobe department, private collections) guided by people with different occupations and hobbies. Such tours give a chance to foreign students to learn more about Voronezh geography and history.

The participants of the project can not know who will be their hosts next time. These hospitable hosts are like books that become a source of knowledge, experience and impressions for foreign students. And for those who receive the guests, it is a good opportunity to tell them about themselves, and share their life experience.

Last Saturday the participants of the project visited the museum of Soviet household, the exhibition The land of Possibilities in the Modern Art Exhibition Centre, Officer's Club – a new building of the Voronezh State Art Academy and the commune Vlada’s Impire.

Students can register for the next event at the International Student Exchange Office of Voronezh State University International Cooperation Department by phone (222-62-99).
