On 24th March, Institute of International Education's Department of the Russian language for international students of Voronezh State University celebrated a day of poetry, dedicated to the Year of Literature in Russia.
Students and interns from Hungary, Great Britain, Spain, China, Syria and Estonia read poems of Russian classical poets and listened to poems presented by authors and actors. Love songs on poems of Russian poets were full of lyricism. Ji Chengcheng read his own poems in Russian.
The lecturers of the Department of the Russian language for international students offered the students the opportunity to try to be poets and fill in the gaps in the poem by Anna Akhmatova 'The door is half open”. The event was concluded with another task – to illustrate the poem the guests liked the most, to picture emotions in paintings and drawings. Then all the students' works were presented in an exhibition.
The lecturers with all their hearts wished the students, as Pasternak put it, "to have never ending inspiration that will always help them search for those new words that are necessary for eternal creative talk about spring, nature, life and love".
