The third Open Cup of the Black Earth Region tournament of intellectual games

On 6th and 7th June, the third Open Cup of the Black Earth Region tournament of intellectual games was held in Voronezh, in the concert hall Event-Hall. Among the organisers of the event were Voronezh State University, VSU Student Council and the Intelligent Technologies Centre TSIT.RUS.

This year over 300 people, representing 52 teams from 18 cities and towns of the Russian Federation took part in the tournament. Among the participants was the team "Druzhba Narodov" (International friendship) which included players from Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria and Latvia.

The winners of the tournament "What? Where? When?" was the team "Borskiy Korabel" with players from Moscow and Saint Petersburg. In October 2014, the team was among the most popular teams at the World Championship in Tbilisi. The silver medal was awarded to the team "KSEP" which included famous players from the high league Ilia Novikov and Yulia Arkhangelskaya. The team "Druzhba Narodov" got the bronze medal.

The team "Sponsora.net" showed the best result among Voronezh teams and took the sixth place, and Voronezh players from the team "Severnaya Korona" qualified for the right to be selected for the National Championship.
