On 8 November, football competitions as a part of the Voronezh Region Universiade for 2015–2016 academic year were concluded on the stadium "Chaika". Among the participants were teams from seven Voronezh universities: Voronezh State Pedagogical University, Voronezh State Technical University, Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies, Voronezh State Forest Engineering University, Voronezh State University, and Voronezh State Agricultural University. VSU team won bronze medals. Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering team won the competition and Voronezh State Agricultural University team took the second prize.
