Our university is participating in the project "European Identity and Political Challenges" within the Seventh Framework programme of the European Union. The project research team includes leading researchers from seven EU countries (France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Belgium, Spain and Hungary) and seven universities and research centres of various Russian regions (Central, Southern, Syberian, Urals, and Volga regions).
The project aims at studying the phenomenon of European identity in the EU countries and Russian regions: what is Europe for a contemporary European and how the boundaries of the European civilization have moved on the present geopolitical map, and what values are the Europeans ready to stand for?
The results of this research will be available to everyone. They will also be sent to the Delegation of the European Union to Russia, the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation and the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Commission, and to the Departments of European Cooperation of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
All VSU students, lecturers and staff members are welcome to take part in the research. The questionnaire is available online both in Russian and in English.
