Petra Lippegaus and Marianne Javorski visited VSU to participate in the first Erasmus+ coordinating meeting "Creating Employment Competences and Skills Development Centres".

'Developing employment competences and skills is a highly sensitive issue today. Universities and the business community are trying to find common ground for understanding. That is why we dedicate a lot of time and energy to creating corporate education centres. Moreover, at our university, companies open fundamental departments that offer training in disciplines that build employment competences' said Dmitry Endovitsky.

Additionally, the Rector emphasised the importance of collaboration with German partners, he mentioned the fact that our university is involved in active cooperation with leading German universities and companies, and maintains contacts with German Alumni Association (DAWU).

Oleg Belenov told the guests about international projects Voronezh State University takes part in, including teaching Russian to foreign students and double degree programmes.

'We are happy to launch this project at our university. Competency building approach is a very important component of academic programmes of the institute of small and medium business. At the same time we understand that it is impossible to have a unified model for this programme that could be used in any university, that is why we are ready to communicate and discuss alternatives' said Petra Lippegaus.

It should be mentioned that Voronezh State University is a world leading Russian university in a number of the EU-supported international projects. At the moment our university is running 19 projects of this kind: 10 – Erasmus+, 5 – Tempus, 1– Erasmus Mundus, and 3 projects within 7FP. The university also takes part in DAAD programmes.
