Between February 22nd and March 9th, the Voronezh Region Universiade indoor soccer tournament was held in the sports complex "Energiya". Among the participants of the event were teams from eleven Voronezh universities: Voronezh State Medical University, Voronezh State Technical University, Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Voronezh State Pedagogical University, Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies, Voronezh State Forest Engineering University, Voronezh State University, Voronezh State Agricultural University, Voronezh Institute of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation, Voronezh Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service, and Voronezh Public Fire Service Institute of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The team from Voronezh State University took the third prize at the tournament. Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering team won the competition and Voronezh Institute of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation team took the second prize.
