On 12th April, Deputy Director of the National TEMPUS office in Russia expert Anna Muravieva visited Voronezh State University. The aim of the visit was to discuss the new international project “Developing approaches to internationalisation strategy harmonising in the area of higher Education, science and innovation in the EU, Russia, Belarus,and Armenia (HARMONY)” that the country participants started in January 2016. The project is aimed at boosting the attractiveness of systems of higher education of the countries involved in the project, and promoting the universities in the European educational market. The goal of the project is to develop mechanisms for the internationalisation strategy harmonising under due consideration of national interests of the countries (the EU, Russia, Belarus, and Armenia).
‘This programme is unique because it has been the first programme in Russia on a similar scale for 20 years. I believe that the stretch of geopolitical turbulence is coming to an end. And the universities have to lead this processes. Our new project is absolutely proactive,’ said the Rector of VSU Dmitry Endovitsky.
