On 22 and 23 September, the International Student Exchange Office of Voronezh State University's International Cooperation Department together with the Regional French Centre held the Campus France days in Voronezh. VSU administration and students, as well as those from other universities, had a meeting with Igor Sinyatkin, director of the Campus France information centre of the French Embassy in Russia. VSU Rector Dmitry Endovitsky welcomed the honoured guest.

“We are successfully collaborating with several universities in France, so a lot of our students are eager to learn French. I am very much grateful to our French colleagues for offering us to take part in joint projects with the High Institute of Commerce of Paris. Thanks to them, we have managed to develop and introduce the "Executive MBA" programme at VSU. Your being here is another stage of our programme for preserving the French language and culture in Voronezh.”

“We are eager to be of every help in applying for various scholarships, and tell Voronezh students about the advantages of studying French, and the opportunities that lay open for those who have studied abroad,” – said Mr Sinyatkin.

His lecture on “How to be successful. Choosing the education pattern. The experience of French universities” was attended by over 70 students from various faculties. The lecturer asked the students about their plans after graduating, their goals and ambitions. The meeting was not just an informative one, the lecturer gave advice and tried to orient the students. He gave advice on how to choose a university and education programme, as well as how to write a good motivation letter and a CV. The information was useful for the students of both sciences and humanities.

The meeting also included a report by the Head of the Department of French Philology of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology and the Director of the Regional French Centre Elena Alexeyeva, who told the students about the areas of collaboration between VSU and French universities.

Our university has partnership agreements with several universities in France, such as The New Sorbonne University Paris 3, National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO), ESIT School for Interpreters and Translators, the University of Marne-la-Vallée, University Lille I and Lille 3, Paul Verlaine University – Metz, and the University of Rennes.

VSU students may also enrol on one of the university’s double degree programmes, participate in exchange programmes, and study management at the High Institute of Commerce in France, as well as take an examination in French language for DELF, DALF, or TCF certificates.
