On 11 April 2017, an extended meeting of the Council of the Eurasian University Association took place in Lomonosov Moscow State University. Among the participants of the event were the Council members and representatives of the universities that belong to the Eurasian University Association, members of the Russian Rectors' Union, members of the expert's council of the Moscow international university ranking "Three university missions", representatives of the Eurasian Pedagogical University Association, the Technical University Association, the Head of the Chuvash Republic, M.V. Ignatiev, representatives of the diplomatic service, and others. The meeting was opened by the President of the Eurasian University Association, Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Viktor Sadovnichy.
The participants discussed the participation of Eurasian universities in the Moscow international university ranking "Three university missions". The President of the Eurasian University Association said that 215 universities had already provided data for the new international ranking. "In May, a new version of the Russian university ranking will be ready, and in September, it will include international data," said Viktor Sadovnichy.
Among the speakers of the event was the Chairman of the Council of Rectors of the Voronezh Region, VSU Rector, Dmitry Endovitsky who talked about the participation of Voronezh State University in the international university ranking "Three university missions".
The issue of innovative approaches to university management was also discussed at the meeting. Viktor Sadovnichy offered the Rector of Voronezh State University to join the committee for innovative university management.
