Between 24 and 28 April, a workshop on the INSPIRE project of the Erasmus+ programme was held in Magdeburg (Germany). Our university was represented by the dean of the Faculty of Physics, Anatoly Bobreshov, Associate professor at the Department of Electronics, Igor Korovchenko, Associate professor at the Department of Electronics, Vladislav Stepkin, and Associate professor at the Department of Electronics, Grigory Uskov.
That was the first one in a series of workshops aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the project. In the first part of the workshop our German colleagues suggested comparing European and Russian education systems, and detailed the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). Then they described the e-learning system implemented at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. The rest of the workshop was dedicated to the discussion of the methodology of teaching applied at the university and development of SAP-based academic programmes. The participants also discussed a new master’s degree programme.
The workshop resulted in an agreement on the structure of the master’s degree programme, based on the programmes implemented by partner universities in Europe. Among other issues on the agenda were the financing and the first-year report on the project's progress.
