On 14 May, the International Education Institute of Voronezh State University together with the Department of Culture of Voronezh Government and the National Chamber of the Voronezh Region Government held the 14th International Festival of National Cuisine. This year, 20 teams from 16 countries took part in the festival.
Among them were international students of Voronezh State University, Voronezh State Technical University, Voronezh State Medical University, Voronezh State Agricultural University, Russian students of Voronezh Law College, Voronezh College of Food Processing Industry, Semiluksky Centre for Psychological, Pedagogical, Medical and Social Services, as well as representatives of OOO Sogdiana and OOO Russian Uzbek Congress in the Voronezh region.
The jury included the best cooks in the city, artists, and teachers of the International Education Institute of VSU. In total, the contestants presented 52 national dishes. The competition also included performances by teams of various nationalities. All the participants received certificates and presents.
The first prize was awarded to the team of the Semiluksky Centre for Psychological, Pedagogical, Medical and Social Services. The second prize went to the Vietnam team of VSU, and the third prize – to the Congo team of Voronezh State Agricultural University. The festival was filled with the atmosphere of peace, friendship, and tolerance.
