Over the last three years, the VSU educational portal has undergone major change. The most obvious one is the new design which now works on all devices. This gives us an opportunity to add virtual tours that help users become accustomed to the interface more quickly.
An important aspect of the portal's automation has been its integration with the Antiplagiat.ru internet platform in order to check uploaded files for plagiarism. Graduating students receive access to an online course which allows them to upload their research paper and get a report on the results.
The changes have made working with the portal more convenient, which is confirmed by the statistics of visits to the portal. In 2014/2015, 3,156 students made active use of the online courses, while in 2015/2016 this number grew to 7,797, and in 2016/2017 – to 9,134 students.
According to YandexMetrics, the number of unique visits to the portal has tripled over the three years (2013/2014 – 96 thousand; 2016/2017 – 316 thousand).
