On 16 September, Voronezh had the second "Dragon" boat race which was held as a part of the City Day festivities. 25 teams, including two women’s teams, represented regional universities, companies, and organisations in the event. Among the participants of the Honorary Flag Race regatta was a team from Voronezh State University. The event took place in the Voronezh water reservoir.
A month earlier, VSU’s team took part in the Petrine regatta and took third place. This time, our team was again among the winners of the competition. It achieved one of the best results among university teams that competed in the final race and were third again. The second place was taken by a team from Voronezh State Technical University, and athletes from the Voronezh Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service won the race.
