University researcher receives a medal of Russian Engineering Union

The Head of the Department of Organic Chemistry of Voronezh State University, DSc in Chemistry, Professor Khidmet Shikhaliev, was awarded with the medal of Russian Engineering Union “For Valiant Labour”.

His scientific interests include developing the methods of synthesizing of both known and new nitrogen, sulphur, and oxygen-bearing heterocyclic systems and studying their reactivity properties. He has published over 250 papers, certificates of authorship, and didactic materials.

The medal of Russian Engineering Union “For Valiant Labour” is awarded for many years of valiant labour and significant contribution to the development of the engineering industry, creation and introduction of new equipment and technologies, successful and efficient research and invention activities, the development and implementation of activities aimed at enhancing efficiency of manufacturing and the quality of products, and promoting of best practices.
