Voronezh State University has signed a partnership agreement with Mail.ru – one of the largest Internet companies in Europe. As a part of this cooperation the company employees will participate in the educational activities in our university.
The first joint project will be a school of database management at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics. Specialists from Mail.ru will hold a series of interactive lectures for our students. The company has also been supporting the Interregional Festival of Robotics “ROBOART”, and regularly takes part in career days at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics.
We are now working on various new joint projects.
Mail.Ru Group is an international tech company. It runs VKontakte and Odnoklassniki social networking sites, as well as a series of online games, such as Warface, Armored Warfare, Skyforge, and Perfect World. It also developed a mapping facility MAPS.ME, the ICQ messenger, a free advertising service Yula, a ride sharing platform BeepCar, and a food delivery service Delivery Club. In 2017, Forbes magazine rated Mail.Ru Group 97th out of 100 largest innovative companies in the world.
