In October, Piraeus University of Applied Sciences (Athenes, Greece) held a scientific conference and a workshop within the framework of Erasmus+ academic mobility programme. The conference was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the programme and attracted over 50 participants from 23 countries – partners of the EU.

Our university was represented by Igor Korovchenko, Associate professor at the Department of Electronics, and Lilia Zavialova, specialist of the International Projects and Programmes Centre. Igor Korovchenko gave a talk on “Information Security within Using Ultra Wide-Band Pulse Signals”, and Lilia Zavialova talked about VSU’s international activities.

They also had several meetings with representatives of Piraeus University of Applied Sciences, where they discussed the details of a joint application for a new Erasmus+ contest.

Voronezh State University has been working jointly with Piraeus University of Applied Sciences on Erasmus+ COMPLETE project “Creating Employment Competences and Skills Development Centres” since 2015. This year our universities signed a bilateral academic mobility agreement as part of Erasmus+ programme.

Currently, VSU is implementing 19 Erasmus+ academic mobility agreements. Erasmus agreements stipulate the coverage of travelling expenses, scholarships for VSU students, lecturers and administrative staff for mobility programmes in European universities.
