On 23 November, a delegation from the regional division of the Union of Russian Artists opened a travelling exhibition at Voronezh State University.
The hall of the main building houses 30 works of art of various genres. The opening ceremony was attended by artists, students, and teachers. They were welcomed by Alexey Smirnov, Chairman of the Voronezh division of the Union of Russian Artists, honoured art worker of the Russian Federation.
“We have been organising such travelling exhibitions for about half a year now. We appreciate the honour of having an exhibition at the main university of the Central Black Earth Region. We worked hard on this. The rector of Voronezh State University is a frequent guest at our exhibitions. Voronezh division of the Union of Russian Artist is one of the largest organisations in our country, both by the umber of its members and by the number of events they participate in. We are glad to receive such a warm welcome at VSU.”
There will be more such exhibitions at our university – Voronezh artists are currently working on the next one. Alexey Smirnov also pointed out that the exhibition needs a catchy name and asked VSU students and teachers to share their ideas.
