The British Council runs Researcher Connect course at VSU

On 12 December, the British Council started it course Researcher Connect at Voronezh State University. The course is aimed at young researchers of several Voronezh Universities – Voronezh State University, Voronezh State Agricultural University, Voronezh State Forest Engineering University, and Voronezh State Technical University, who successfully passed the entrance test.

At the opening ceremony VSU Rector, Dmitry Endovitsky, gave a speech.

“We have a long history connecting us with the British Council. From 1980s to mid 1990s, about 150 British students completed their internships at VSU. Our long-term partnership with British colleagues is highly beneficial for our university community. I believe our colleagues at the British Council will help us to fit in the new forms of collaboration in order to promote various projects at our universities.

The Researcher Connect course was designed by the British Council together with the leading international organisations for researchers, PhD students, heads of academic writing offices, and specialists of the international departments. The course is run by professional tutors experienced in international research programmes. The training provides participants with the insights, understanding and tools to communicate effectively to promote an innovative idea - from getting a grant and establishing international partnership to writing articles and making presentations in English using modern online tools in order to improve the availability and the citation index of the researcher and the institution.

There are certain requirement to the participants of the course. Their level of English should be at least B2 according to CEFR.

This time the workshop was held by an international trainer on academic programmes for universities and research institutions, Kris Russell.

The course offers high-quality education and is successfully run at the leading universities in 12 countries, including several Russian universities, such as Higher School of Economics, Ural Federal University, National Research Tomsk State University, etc.

The course Researcher Connect at Voronezh State University ended on 14 December.
