On 7 February, the opening ceremony of the Rector’s Gallery took place at VSU. The first exhibition by the artistic group “Logos” included 40 paintings by 12 artists.
The group was founded by a well-known local painter, Vyacheslav Znatkov, in 1998 and was originally meant to be an art school for VSU students. Among Vyacheslav Znatkov's trainees there were students of mathematics, history, economy, and philology, who all had one common interest - they loved art. The group gradually developed and became something more than merely an art school. Among the members of this group there are now graduates of various art colleges and faculties who have taken part in a large number of exhibitions and artistic events. Most of them are members of the Union of Russian Artists.
Each of their paintings is a unique piece of art, with its own style. A lot of them are dedicated to our university, its students and teachers. VSU History Museum announced that there will be a series of such exhibitions dedicated to the 100th anniversary of VSU.
