On 15 May, painting and graphics exhibition of famous Voronezh artists, Sergey Gulevsky and Olga Dmitrienko, opened in the Rector’s hall (the hall on the first floor of the main university building).
Sergey Gulevsky is a member of the Union of Russian Artists, honoured worker of culture, Associate member of the Russian Academy of Arts, and the Director of the Voronezh Arts College. He is an outstanding and original artist and a social activist. He initiated the Ramon, Tretyakov, Ostrogozhsk, and Crimea plein air exhibitions. He organised exhibitions at Saint Petersburg Arts Forum in the Russian Academy of Arts. He creates oil paintings and water colours and uses a la prima technique (painting in one go without any corrections). He is a master of colour. His works include landscapes, still life, and some portraits. During the opening ceremony, the artist presented VSU with a portrait of professor Valdimir Eitingon.
Olga Dmitrienko is a graphic artist, a member of the Union of Russian Artists, honoured art worker of the Voronezh region, and a teacher at the Voronezh Arts College. She graduated from Repin Saint Petersburg State Academic Institute (Academy of Arts). She has taken part in regional, republican, and international exhibitions. Among her paintings presented at the VSU exhibition are her works from the series “A trip to Russia. Ramon”: portraits of Evgenia and Alexandre Oldenburgsky.
