Between 21 and 24 June, an international conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the first publication of a Victorian poet, Gerard Manley Hopkins, took place at the University of Roehampton (London).
Among the participants of the conference were researchers from Britain, the USA, Japan, Italy, Israel, and Ireland. The only representative of the Russian literary society was a professor from the Department of the Publishing at the Faculty of Philology of Voronezh State University, Maria Popova. She gave a talk “Gerard Hopkins and two Dantes”, which garnered a lot of interest from the audience.
