On 4 July, the International Education Institute of Voronezh State University held the official graduation ceremony for international students in the University Hall of Voronezh State University.
To the strains of the students’ anthem “Gaudeamus” the graduates who received a diploma with honours brought in the colours of VSU and the International Education Institute. Then, the Vice Rector for Strategic Administrative Management, Yury Bubnov, the Head of the Institute of International Education of VSU, Vladimir Rodionov, and the deans of the university faculties where the graduates studied gave welcoming speeches.
After the diploma award ceremony, the graduates also gave a speech and expressed their gratitude to all lecturers and staff of VSU. They also congratulated their university with its 100th anniversary. They sounded proud of their university and Russia which has become their second motherland. Parents of the graduates who came to the ceremony also thanked Voronezh State University.
Folk music group "Terem" and the national folk dance group “Nadezhda”, old friends of international students, congratulated the graduates by their performances.
Traditionally, the event concluded with the ceremony of passing of “the key of knowledge” to the future first year students of Voronezh State University.
