On 6 July, a graduation ceremony for master’s degree students was held at the University Hall of VSU. Following the previous two years’ tradition, inspired by the example of European universities, the deans and the graduates wore official academic gowns and caps. The ceremony was opened by the combined orchestra of Voronezh Philharmonic Hall and started with the procession of the honour guard and a group of military students of VSU Military Training Centre.
“Today is a special day. Today we award master’s diplomas to the best of the best students in our region and the whole country. I am glad to have a chance to congratulate you all. I urge you to remember this day all your life. For you stand out of the thousands of master’s degree graduates of VSU. You are the centenary graduates, and you must fulfil the responsibility your title imposes on you. You should pay your duty to your country, your parents, and your alma mater. Remember your teachers and research supervisors,” – said the Rector of Voronezh State University, Dmitry Endovitsky.
In the centenary year the number of master's degree graduates totalled 1083. The master's degree students also gave a speech. They expressed their gratitude to the university and the teachers, talked about their feelings and memories and wished VSU all the best.
