Between 13 and 14 October, the 19th National Championship in Free-Style Wrestling dedicated to the honoured coach, S.I. Gorozhankin, was held at the "Zvezdnyi” sport and fitness facility. The best sportsmen in the country took part in the event.
VSU’s students, Evgeny Prosvetov, a 2nd year student of the Faculty of Mathematics, and Konstantin Telkov, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Economics, did very well. They once more proved their titles of Master of Sport and became prize-winners.
Evgeny Prosvetov took the 3rd place in the 70 kg weight category, and Konstantin Telkov won the 1st place in the 79 kg weight category.
The students’ couch is Alexander Belanov, Master of Sport, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports.
