Between 6 and 12 November, representatives of Voronezh State University visited Nukus State Pedagogical Institute (Nukus, Uzbekistan), where they participated in the 5th Transnational meeting within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “Piloting ECVET to the national VET system of Russia and Uzbekistan”. The delegation included Dmitry Vladimirov, lecturer at the Department of Recreational Geography, Country Studies, and Tourism of the Faculty of Geography, Geoecology, and Tourism, and Anastasia Chepelevskaya, a specialist at the International Projects and Programmes Office. Other universities represented at the meting included Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (Malta), the University of Liepāja (Latvia), Navoiy State Pedagogical Institute (Uzbekistan), Kokand State Pedagogical Institute (Uzbekistan), Russian State Vocational Pedagogical University (Ekaterinburg), Tver State University (Tver), and Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (Moscow).
The project aims to pilot the implementation of the European Credit system for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) in the national higher education (HE) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) system of Russia and Uzbekistan by creating a long-term platform of collaboration between leading higher education institutions.
The programme of the meeting included a three-day workshop dedicated to the methodological and organisational aspects of an advanced training programme “Implementation of the ECVET in vocational education and training”, and a two-day meeting of the managing committee.
VSU’s representatives and their colleagues from Nukus and Kokand also discussed the prospects of PhD training at VSU and organising guest lectures at partner universities.
