Nikita Builov, a postgraduate student from the Faculty of Physics of Voronezh State University, engineer at the experimental certification centre for integrated circuits and microwave devices “Research Institute of Electronics”, took second place in the regional contest “Engineer of the Year – 2018” in the nomination “Electronics and Engineering, Electrical and Radio Engineering”.
The event is held every year. Its goal is to promote the achievements of the best engineers in the Voronezh region, to improve the image of engineering specialities, and to honour the professionalism of engineers. The regional contest is a qualifying stage for the annual national contest “Engineer of the Year”. Traditionally, representatives from the Voronezh region demonstrate a high level of professional training and originality of technological solutions.
Nikita Builov’s scientific interests include the atomic and electron structure of multilayer structures and thin films with nonlinear electromagnetic behaviour which have very promising applications in spintronics and microwave electronics. The results of his research have been published in the leading Russian and international journals and have been presented at international and national conferences.
“Such contests are very important. They motivate young scientists and engineers to develop their area of expertise. They give you a chance to show off your talents and achievements,” said Nikita Builov.
