On 6 March, a charity concert in support of the Dobrosvet foundation was held at VSU. The foundation helps children and adults under 25 with oncohaematology and other dangerous diseases.
The concert was organised by the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies (head of the department, Natalia Yakovlenko) together with a folk song and dance group “Perezvon” of the children creativity centre “Sovremennik”, a laureate and winner of international, national and city competitions and festivals, and a folk song group “Zavalinka” of the further education centre “Sozvezdiye”.
The guests were welcomed by Natalia Dashkova, member of the board of trustees of the the Dobrosvet foundation, editor of the children new agency “Voronezh i Yozh”. Vice Rector for Research and Innovations, Oleg Kozaderov, also made a welcoming speech.
Three more concerts will be held in May by the Department of Human Geography and Regional Studies together with children groups from the city and the region.
