The main building of Voronezh State University is about to complete a large-scale reconstruction of its canteen.
Alexander Sokolov, Vice Rector for Building Operation and Capital Development at Voronezh State University, talked about the current state of the redecoration process.
“It is the first time that we are conducting such a large-scale repairs. We reconstructed all the vital communications, water supply systems, electricity supply, central heating, and sewerage. We also repaired the roof, toilets, and installed a new air conditioning system. The canteen now has a new entrance and a toilet for the disabled. The reconstruction of the dining hall is almost complete. The hall has become larger as the food stalls were rearranged. We want to make the canteen cosier and lighter, so that students and teachers will be happy to come here. We see the importance of the canteen for the comfort of our students and employees.
At the moment, only the fist floor of the canteen is functioning. The opening of the reconstructed canteen is planned for April.
