Between 5 and 7 March, lecturers from the Faculty of Philology of Voronezh State University gave lectures on Linguistics and Literature Studies for students from Belgrad University (Serbia). The students are studying Russian as a foreign language or have chosen to become teachers of Russian in the future.
The Head of the Department of Slavic Philology, Professor Gennady Kovalev, presented a cycle of lectures on the following topics: “The First Reference to Slavs in History”, “The Ancestral Homeland of Slavs”, “The History of Ethnical Names of Slavic Peoples”. The Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Tatiana Ternova, talked about contemporary Russian literature, its most prominent representatives, and such literature trends as post-village prose, utopia, and anti-utopia. The lectures were held in the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Faculties of Philology of Voronezh and Belgrad Universities.
