On 29 March, the international student holiday “Language Tongue Day” took place at the Faculty of Philology. Among its participants were international and Russian students from VSU, Burdenko Voronezh State Medical University, and Voronezh Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia.
Every year, this spring-time event gathers representatives of various nations and nationalities studying at Voronezh universities. Students read their own poems and poems by famous poets in their native languages and translated into Russian, sing songs, talk about their cultures, and give presentations. The folk music group "Terem” opened this festival of friendship and introduced the international and multi-language audience to Russian songs.
