On 2 April, the opening ceremony of the renovated canteen took place in the main building of VSU.
“The canteen has been renovated for the first time since the day the main university building first opened. The canteen has been absolutely transformed. My dream was to make it a point of attraction for students, academic staff, and our guests,” said the Rector Dmitry Endovitsky.
“I would like to thank everyone for your patience and understanding no matter how uncomfortable your life had been while the canteen was being renovated. I would like to express special gratitude to our workers, subcontractors, and all the people who contributed to the process of renovation,” said Alexander Sokolov, Vice Rector for Building Operation and Capital Development.
Now, all the vital communications have been reconstructed: water supply systems, electricity supply, central heating, and sewerage. The roof and toilets have also been repaired and a new air conditioning system has been installed. The canteen now has a new entrance and a toilet for the disabled.
