The publishing house “Flinta” has published an English-Russian topical dictionary of nominal culture-specific terms written by Anna Makhonina, an Associate Professor from the Department of English for International Relations of VSU, and Professor Marina Sternina, Head of the Department of English Language for Science Faculties.

The dictionary has over 6,000 English words and collocations that have no equivalent lexical items and collocations in Russian. Therefore, the dictionary also functions as a English-Russian dictionary of nominal culture-specific terms and Russian and English nominal lexical gaps.

This is the first dictionary of its kind that uses a thematic approach, which makes it easy to use it in the educational process.
