Between 22 and 27 March, the Faculty of Philology of Voronezh State University held two video conferences between students from Sichuan International Studies University (Chongqing, China) and Ningxia University (Yinchuan, China) who study Russian in China and Chinese students studying Russian at VSU.
Both conferences included quizzes for Chinese students about the Russian language and Russian traditions: the students painted, completed tasks, and answered questions. Prior to the quiz, the participants watched a short video about international students studying and living in Russia. At the end, all the participants sang the Russian folk song “Katyusha” accompanied by a guitar.
Such events are organised at the faculty on a regular basis. They help to develop international relations, promote Russian language and culture, and attract international students to VSU.
