Every term, international students from all over the world come to study at Voronezh State University. Most of them visit Russia and Voronezh for the first time. This term, we have representatives of Germany, Turkey, Spain, China, Japan, Estonia, Austria, the USA, Great Britain, Greece, and France.
This spring, the student community Buddy Club VSU, created to help international students adapt in a new environment and feel they are a part of the university and Voronezh, organised a number of exciting events for Russian and international students where they could know each other better.
In March, Buddy Club volunteers conducted a guided tour for interns around the centre of Voronezh. The students had a walk along Revolutsia avenue and watched the sights.
On 13 April, another interesting event by Buddy Club was held in the main VSU building. It was called "International cuisine". Russian and international students tried different traditional national dishes which they cooked themselves: Loran pie and croutons, onigiri, kung pao chicken, mashed potatoes, vinegret, pelmens, etc.
On 19 April, there was another cultural and educational event, Cinema Club. The volunteers told the participants about different films made in Russia, Uzbekistan, the USA, England, Greece, Japan, Germany, and France.
