Between 9 and 11 June, philologist from Voronezh State University, Alexandre Zhitenev, Tatiana Ternova, and Anna Frolova, took part in the 5th international conference "Days of Slavistics in Andalusia" which took place at the University of Granada.
The conference was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Department of Slavic Philology at the University of Granada and gathered 230 scientists from Spain, Portugal, Italy, Russia, Germany, Great Britain, the USA, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Poland, Switzerland, Norway, Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia, and Montenegro.
The main themes of the conference were teaching Slavic languages and culture, Slavic literature and culture, history, culture and linguistic picture of the world, linguistic studies, and the theory and practice of translation. Despite the diversity of topics, the focus of the conference was on a number of mainstream topics, including contemporary Russian literature.
Voronezh researchers presented the results of research within project RNF No. 19-18-00205 "Poet and poetry in post-historical era". They told their colleagues about the concepts of poet and poetry which are common for the contemporary literature and about the ways of understanding poetry presented in Russian literary magazines. The results of the conference will be presented in a collection of articles published by the Moscow publishing house URSS.
