On 13 November, the first event in the framework of the Days of Sweden which were celebrated in Voronezh till 16 November was held in the conference hall of the main building of VSU.
The Cultural Counsellor of the Swedish Embassy, Stefan Ingvarsson, gave a public lecture “Traditions and culture of Sweden”.
“I have been working in Russia for four years but it’s my first visit to Voronezh. My experience of meeting Russian academic community tells me that your country has very creative and keen young people who have a lot of potential.”
The press secretary of the Swedish Embassy, Maria Kruchek, told the students and staff of Voronezh State University about opportunities to study in Sweden. She talked about programmes that can be completed after bachelor’s and master’s programmes and about scholarship programmes.
The students were really inspired by her presentation. They bombarded her with questions about chances to enter Swedish universities.
