A book by university scientists wins the International Contest of Media Studies

9th International Scientific Conference of the National Association of Mass Media Investigators “Contemporary Issues of Media Studies – 2019” took place at Lomonosov Moscow State University on 5 December. Scientists belonging to international and leading Russian scientific schools presented the results of their empirical and theoretical research. In the framework of the conference there was an award ceremony of the laureates of the International Contest of Media Studies by the National Association of Mass Media Investigators.

Winners from various scientific schools received prizes and certificates. The book by scientists from the Department of Electronic Media and Speech Communication at the Faculty of Journalism of Voronezh State University “Contemporary issues of audio and visual mass media” was recognised as the best scientific publication in 2019 in the nomination “A collection of articles”. The publication is dedicated to acute issues of the media industry relating to development in the area of TV and radio production. It discusses the functioning of both traditional and the latest audiovisual media.

“The National Association of Mass Media Investigators (NAMMI) brings together scientists from Russia and abroad who aim at providing an unbiased assessment of the current processes in the media. We need to put our efforts together to provide convincing results and grounded forecasts for the the development of mass media. Our victory in this contest is our common victory,” said Professor Alla Shesterina, the editor of the publication.
