On 28 November, a kettlebell lifting competition took place at Voronezh State Agricultural University as a part of the Voronezh Region Universiade. Among its participants were representative from ten universities. The team from Voronezh State University took second team place. The students from Voronezh State Agricultural University were the winners of the tournament, and the team from Voronezh Institute of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation came third.
According to the results of the competition, Roman Ivanushin, a student from the Faculty of Law, took second place and Kirill Mikhailov, a second year student from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics, came third. The students were coached for the tournament by the senior teacher at the Department of Physical Education and Sports of Voronezh State University, Valery Tambovtsev.
